Government gave opportunity to showcase cultural heritage of Assam in International Gita Mahotsav: Nabha

Nabha Kumar Sarania, MP from Assam, inaugurated stall number 281 of Sikkim, inspected the site of Assam’s pavilion, being a part of the festival is a privilege for Assam, the holy book Gita was preached to people from all over the world from the land of Kurukshetra

Kurukshetra 8 December Lok Sabha member from Assam Nabha Kumar Sarania said that the Government has given the first opportunity to showcase the cultural heritage of Assam state in the International Gita Mahotsav 2023. Assam has got the privilege of becoming a partner state during the festival on the land of Kurukshetra, the place where Gita was preached. It was on this holy land that Lord Shri Krishna gave the teachings of Gita to solve the problems of the world and to always follow the right path, this preaching is still relevant for the whole world.

MP Nabha Kumar Sarania was sharing his feelings with the craftsmen and officials of Assam on his arrival at the International Gita Mahotsav 2023. Earlier, MP Nabha Kumar Sarania, National President of ICC STWE (MSME), Government of India, Subir Pal, on behalf of ICC STWE (MSME), Government of India, inaugurated the stall number 281 of craftsman Anita Taman from Sikkim by cutting the ribbon. Here 280 to 290 have been imposed by ICC. Some craftsmen have also arrived from Assam. After this, MP Nabha Kumar visited the Saras and Craft Fair and after seeing the Maha Aarti pilgrimage site, Purushottampura Bagh, he inspected the pavilion site of the partner state Assam in front of the Draupadi well.

After talking to KDB officials, the MP said that it is Assam’s good fortune to be a part of the International Gita Mahotsav in 2023. After visiting this holy place once, they will feel like coming again and again and whenever they get the opportunity to visit Kurukshetra, they will definitely visit this earth. Lord Shri Krishna preached Geeta on this holy land. The essence of living life lies in these teachings. Seeing this festival, programs regarding the festival will also be organized at historical places like Assam.He said that on behalf of Assam state, Assam Pavilion will be set up in the festival from 17th to 24th December. In this pavilion, an effort will be made to show the food of Assam, cultural programs and the picture of the villages of Assam. SDM Thanesar Surendra Pal, District Welfare Officer Kamal Kumar Dhiman, District Level Vigilance Monitoring Committee members Kashmir Tanwar, Rajendra Kumar etc. were present.
