Governor Bandaru Dattatreya to inaugurate craft and fair today, also inaugurate media center, NCA Patiala artists will welcome from different states
The inauguration of the Craft and Fair of the International Gita Festival 2023 is going to happen on December 7. The inauguration of this craft and fair will be done by the Governor Bandaru Dattatreya at around 12 o’clock. Along with this, the Governor will also inaugurate the media center running from December 7 to 24. In this craft and fair, more than 250 craftsmen from 24 states have started decorating their craftsmanship. The important aspect is that the artists of the North Zone Cultural Center Patiala have also reached the holy land of Kurukshetra.
Deputy Commissioner Shantanu Sharma said that the Craft and Fair of the International Gita Festival 2023 will run from December 7 to 24 and the inauguration of this fair will start from December 7. In this craft and fair, the craftsmen of NCDC and DRDA have started reaching Brahmsarovar and most of them have also started decorating their craft art in the Sadariyas of Brahmsarovar. The fair will be inaugurated by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and along with this, the media center will also be inaugurated. The preparations for this program have been made by the Kurukshetra Development Board. A group of about 71 artists from NCDC has reached Kurukshetra to entertain the tourists in this fair.
He said that the International Gita Festival will start on December 7 from the Craft and Fair on the holy banks of Brahmasarovar in Kurukshetra. In this, people will once again get an opportunity to see the confluence of nationally acclaimed artists and craftsmen. In the festival, a Haryana pavilion related to Haryana’s folk dance, craft, small industries, food, etc. will be set up, so that the tourists and pilgrims coming to the festival can get acquainted with the culture of Haryana. Exhibitions on the development and progress of Haryana are also being put up by various departments on this occasion, so that people will get information about the welfare schemes being run by the government and the development that has taken place in the region.
71 artists from 7 states will spread the unique culture from today
NCDC officer Bhupendra Singh said that the first batch of artists from NCDC has reached Kurukshetra for the International Gita Festival 2023. In this first group, 15 from Jammu and Kashmir, 15 from Himachal Pradesh, 12 from Rajasthan, 8 from Punjab, 15 from Uttarakhand, and 6 from Haryana have reached. Apart from this, a group of 15 artists from Chandigarh will also give their presentation from 7 to 10 December. In this festival, Madhya Pradesh’s Gudam Baja, Chhattisgarh’s Karma are also eager to give their best presentation. He said that from December 8 to 12, a group of 15 artists from Madhya Pradesh will give a presentation of Rai and Punjab’s 15 artists’.
